Albany County
- City of Albany is the State Capital and is located on the Hudson River.

Essex County Bordered by Lake Champlain, with many lakes, (including the beautiful Schroon Lake.) ponds, streams, mountains and wilderness, you can canoe, boat, swim, fish, hike, golf, play tennis, picnic, snowmobile, cross-country ski, snowshoe, skate or just kick back and enjoy the marvelous Adirondack scenery.
Franklin County - Home to a number of unique and memorable Adirondack communities, from Saranac Lake, to Paul Smiths, to the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation and the lovely town of Malone, on the slopes of Titus Mountain.
Fulton County - Rural beauty in the foothills of the Adirondacks make Fulton County a peaceful place to visit. With 44 lakes, hunting, fishing, and hiking are a natural outlet here. There is also plenty of shopping and historic places to visit such as the Rice Homestead, a 1790 Colonial homestead.
Genesee County - Less than an hour from Niagara Falls, as well as Letchworth State Park, and halfway between Buffalo and Rochester, Genesee County has something for everyone. Visit Darien Lake Theme Park & Resort with its five roller coasters, or the new Jell-O Museum located in the Village of LeRoy where Jell-O was invented.
Greene County - From the shores of the Hudson River to the Great Northern Catskills, Greene County has many wonderful places to visit, including the highest cascading waterfall in New York State; Kaaterskill Falls.
Hamilton County - With 262 lakes and ponds, 500 miles of groomed cross country trails, Hamilton County is right in the center of the Adirondack Park, the largest park in the continental United States – bigger than Yellowstone and Yosemite combined. It is one of the wildest areas in the country with less than 3 residents per square mile.
Herkimer County - The longest county in the state with the lower half accessible by the NY State Thruway and the upper half a part of the scenic Adirondacks. Much of the county is perfect for outdoor activities year-round.
Jefferson County - Jefferson County is part of the "North Country" of New York State and shares the distinction of being part of the famed, "Thousand Islands Region", an international recreation and tourism destination comprised of over 1,800 picturesque islands in the St. Lawrence River Valley.
Lewis County - The land of the fisherman, the camper, the hunter, the bicyclist, the golfer, the skier, and the snowmobiler. Whatever the season, there is an abundance of outdoor activity and fun for all.
Livingston County - A short drive to the activity of Monroe County and Rochester, Livingston is country pastures, antique shops, and quaint towns and villages, and some of the friendliest natives in the state.
Long Island - Includes Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Suffolk County has the North and South Fork, both vacation areas with miles of beaches, vineyards, many golf courses and a myriad of other leasure activities. Also you'll find ferries to Shelter Island and Connecticut, lots of farms and farm stands and the multi-million dollar Atlantis Aquarium in Riverhead. Nassau County continues the eastern suburbs of NYC and is the most western portion of the area known as Long Island. Nassau County has beaches on both its north and south shores.
Madison County - Located about 20 miles from both Syracuse and Utica, the county contains one city, fifteen towns, and ten villages. Pratt's Hollow, a smaller hamlet, is considered to be the geographic center of New York State. Oneida Lake forms the northern border of Madison County.
Monroe County - Monroe County is comprised of 19 towns, 10 villages and the City of Rochester, recently named the best Minor League Baseball City in the U.S. Frontier Field is home to the Rochester Red Wings.
Montgomery County - On the shores of the Mohawk River, Montgomery County is rich in natural beauty and historic landmark houses and churches. The architecture and local cuisine also reflect the centuries of settlers from cultures as diverse as English, Spanish, French, German, and Hispanic.
Nassau County - Located immediately east of New York City, Nassau County is a part of Long Island. It is one of the highest income counties in the United States. Rich in history and featuring great beaches such as Long Beach.
New York City - With a total population of over 8 million people the New York metropolitan area consists of Manhattan (New York County); The Bronx (Bronx County); Brooklyn (Kings County); Queens (Queens County); Staten Island (Richmond County). New York is the most populous city in the United States and one of the world's largest natural harbors. New York City exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment and is home of the United Nations Headquarters.
Niagara County - From Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, NY to Niagara Falls there is plenty to see in do in this historic county.
Oneida County - Various attractions in the Heart of New York State, Oneida County highlights include the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, Erie Canal Village, and the Turning Stone Casino.
Onondaga County - Home to Syracuse, there are several State Parks and the world–class Burnet Park Zoo providing lots of outdoor entertainment. Within 350 miles of all major cities in the Northeast this area is a good resting spot in between destinations. The New York State Barge Canal System allows connection by boat to the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River.
Ontario County - Located in the Finger Lakes with attractions such as Sonneberg Gardens, as well as easy access to other area attractions such as antique stores, art galleries, theaters and wineries.
Orange County Known as the "Onion Capital of New York State" since the greatest number onions are grown in the "Black Dirt" area. Museum Village in Monroe is the largest living history museum in New York State.
Orleans County - Relive the past with a mule–drawn cruise along the canal, visit local history museums, or sample the harvest of 200 year–old farms. Canoeing, bicycling, birding, hiking, camping, hunting and fishing are all popular activities in this county that is a short drive to Niagara Falls.
Oswego County - A great place for recreation with fantastic fishing, auto racing, festivals, museums, golf courses, parks, and much more, combine to make it a sportsman's paradise as well as a great place for a family vacation.
Otsego County - Home of Oneonta and Hartwick College Otsego County is located in the scenic Northern Catskills.
Putnam County — In the Hudson Valley attractions include Bear Mountain Park and Zoo, Constitution Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, and a part of the Appalachian Trail running through the Clarence Fahnestock State Park.
Rensselaer County - Explore the shores of the Hudson River to the border of New England. St. Lawrence County - The North Coast of the USA, St. Lawrence is the largest county in New York State. From the St. Lawrence River to the Adirondacks this is a great BIG place to visit.

Schenectady County - Visiting Schenectady County is like going back in time. Visit some of the oldest homes and churches in America or the sixteen-sided High Victorian Gothic styles Nott memorial. You'll also find wildflowers, waterfalls, hiking trails, and a bike trail along the Mohawk River.
Schoharie County - Howe Caverns, Old Stone Fort and the Mohawk are the highlights of this rural Catskill County. The name of the county comes from a Mohawk word meaning "floating driftwood."
Schuyler County — In the heart of the Finger Lakes Schuyler County features Watkins Glen NASCAR Raceway, Glenora Wine Cellars, and much more.
Seneca County - Home to 15 estate wineries, is the birthplace of Women's Rights, and enjoys over 100 miles of Finger Lake's shoreline. Shop at the 100-stores of the Finger Lakes Outlet Center, or spend time outdoors at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, Finger Lakes National Forest or four State Parks.
Steuben County - Visually pleasing with dozens of wineries, great museums, and art galleries. Corning is famous for its glass and historic Market Street.
Suffolk County - Suffolk County is the easternmost county in New York State and a part of Long Island
Sullivan County - In the heart of the Catskills, you'll find clean air, wide-open spaces, and majestic mountains overlooking lush green valleys. Attractions abound in this county on New York State's southern border.
Tioga County - Gateway to the Finger Lakes Tioga County offers a blend of outdoor activity, history, and attractions.
Tompkins County - Wrapped around the southern end of 42-mile-long Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes, Tompkins County while predominantly rural is home to such prominent educational institutions such as Cornell University and others. Ulster County - Endowed with some of the most scenic views in the state, including the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains, the Hudson and Wallkill Rivers, the Ashokan Reservoir and the Catskill Forest Preserve.
Warren County - Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, an hour north of Albany. At the hub of things to do here is beautiful Lake George with first class attractions and year-round recreational activities.
Washington County - The birthplace of Grandma Moses, you see her paintings come to life as you drive through Washington County today. The same pastures, stone walls, covered bridges, serene trees, and white church steeples. Towns with a bandstand, perhaps an afternoon parade, or canal side dining.
Wayne County - With a long shoreline on Lake Ontario, beautiful Sodus Bay, and the Erie Canal, Wayne County boasts lots of water activities. Some of the best fruits in the country are grown here and antiques and quaint little shops abound.
Westchester County - Bordered on the south by New York City, on the east by the Connecticut and Long Island Sound, on the north by Putnam County, and on the west by the Hudson River, Westchester County has plenty to see and do. Tour the historic towns along the Hudson for a real treat. You could spend days touring the county and only scratch the surface!
Wyoming County - Just a short drive from Rochester, Buffalo, Corning, and Niagara Falls, Wyoming County is in the heart of rural Western New York. The "Grand Canyon of the East", Letchworth Park is located in the county. Its stunning 17 mile-long river gorge with three waterfalls captivates nearly a million visitors each year. Museums are plentiful, bringing the rich lore of the past to today's visitor. Ride the steam train from Arcade to Curriers or a Hot–Air Balloons Over Letchworth.
Yates County - Home to 200 family–operated vineyards, over 5,000 acres of grapes and 12 premium wineries. Check out the first and largest rural farm and craft market; The Windmill Farm & Craft Market between Penn Yan and Dundee.
